Amathyst Dragon.digital.2010

I wanted to redesign some old-school dungeons and dragons monsters. The 2nd ed crystal dragons were my favorites, but always looked kinda silly. I went with Amathyst, Amethyst? dragons, but it doesn't really feel like a crystal dragon, more like a purple regular dragon. I have some more concepts and drawings for another, more crystal like dragon. But this still works as a stand alone piece, a non crystal dragon, dragon. Which is why it is an Amathyst dragon.
